I’ve seen Point Break over 23 times. I personally own 4 Stussy tee-shirts. I have several Ron Jon stickers on my car. Considering all this I don’t believe it’s a stretch to say that I am one of the central east coast’s top boogie boarders.

I am recently returned from an epic trip from one of the world’s hottest spots for tasty waves…Ocean City, MD. I was lucky to have my Father-in-Law, Joe, to film some of my finest shredding.

Here I am paddling the channel to reach the line-up. Notice the board. Unfortunately I left my quiver at home so I was riding on my sister-in-law’s pink 1987 Moray Boogie. It’s a classic slick bottom charger that easily handled the mid-morning swell. Plus it’s gay.

You’ll notice it was crowded this day. Off to the left, several surf betty’s were taking in my performance. I believe they were 13. There were definitely some henna tattoos visible. What-evs. What’s important is the massive swell building behind me. You’ll notice I have 100% of my attention focused on hitting the peak of the swell and busting down the line. Definitely not on henna tattoos.

In this next frame you’ll notice the excitement building from the surf betty’s. They know they’re about to see some serious shredding. You’ll also notice my furious push to get in front of the wave, waiting for the right moment for that final massive kick that will propel me down the line. Also, I may have shat in my swim trunks.

Now, on top of the monster, I easily glide by George Forman VII who can only stare, slack-jawed, and my dolphin-like grace. Right now, every breath could be my last. Do you ever see action like this on “Picture Camping” ?

If your as serious as I am about shredding there’s no way some 4 year old clowning around in 8 inches of water is going to ruin your ride. That why in this picture you see me going “stiff arm” style which is popular in the crowded waves of OC and a very effective way of announcing to the water barney’s that a real professional is coming through.

  1. Best Post Ever? I think so!

Clearly you’re a man amongst children. And I mean that literally. Luckily you’re like the sea itself: wild, untamed, and immune to the laws of society as they pertain to small boys in wet t-shirts.

  2. I think that was how Hitler rode his boogie board. Good stuff!

PS- I love picturecamping.com The most recent post is entitled “Bring your tuba camping”.

  3. Amazing! Okay I’m just being nice.
